Our Story

Starting in 2011, Worship on the Water was birthed out of a desire to bring the Church, not just church services, to people right where they are. Our beginnings were simple, but the vision was clear: create a place where people could encounter Jesus, experience genuine community, and grow in faith.


From those early gatherings, Worship on the Water has continued to grow while remaining rooted in that same mission. We gather in an uncommon place, but our purpose is deeply familiar: to worship Jesus, love people, and help others take their next step of faith.


Our heart is to create a welcoming environment where people from every background can explore faith, experience community, and discover what it means to follow Jesus.

Our Church

Worship on the Water is a Christ-centered, come-as-you-are church gathering at the Flora-Bama. Our Sunday services feature worship, biblical teaching, and genuine community centered on Jesus. Whether you call this area home or are visiting the Gulf Coast, you’re welcome to join us.

Our Location

Worship on the Water gathers at the iconic Flora-Bama on the Gulf Coast. What began as an unusual place for church has become a familiar home for people from across the region and visitors from around the world.


We meet Sundays at 9:00 and 11:00 AM, creating a welcoming space where people can worship, hear biblical teaching, and experience genuine community in one of the most recognizable places on the coast.

Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible is our final authority for faith and life, and our beliefs are rooted in the historic truths of the Christian faith.

  • Triune God

    We believe in one God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three persons, uncreated and equal in power and glory. He is the Creator of all things and the source of life, truth, and salvation.

  • Jesus

    We believe Jesus Christ is God’s only Son, fully divine and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose again on the third day, ascended to heaven, and will return to judge and redeem.

  • Holy Spirit

    We believe the Holy Spirit is the giver of life who indwells believers, empowering them for service, transforming their character, and guiding them into truth. Through His presence, we are shaped into the image of Christ.

  • Global Church

    We believe the Church is the bride of Christ, called to make disciples throughout the world. It is expressed through local fellowships united by the confession that Jesus is Lord and the only way to salvation.

  • Biblical Marriage

    We believe marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s love for His Church. It is designed by God to foster unity, holiness, and lifelong faithfulness.

  • God’s Word

    We believe the Bible is the inspired and perfect Word of God, given as the foundation for doctrine and Christian living. It provides instruction, correction, and practical wisdom for every aspect of life.

  • Baptism and Communion

    We believe communion is a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice and a celebration of our relationship with Him until He returns. We believe baptism is an outward expression of inward transformation, identifying believers with Christ and His Church.

  • Eternal Hope

    We believe Jesus will return and that all who belong to Him will be raised to eternal life. Heaven and hell are real, and our eternal destiny is determined by our relationship with Christ.
